Ignition Interlock Device (IID)
If you are required to install an IID in your vehicle, there are 4 vendors currently approved by the State of Wisconsin. Please refer to the Wisconsin DOT website (Wisconsin Department of Transportation IID) for a list of IID vendors, a list of IID installation service centers, and a list of FAQs regarding IID’s.
Ignition Interlock Exemption Request
If you are requesting a vehicle that you are not driving to be exempted from the IID, submit the IID Exemption Request Form below along with proof that you no longer have the vehicle or that the vehicle has been disposed of. Please also include the vehicle you will have the Ignition Interlock installed on. The court will either schedule a hearing with the Judge OR notify DOT that your vehicle has been exempted.
